Hi,

You were just saying that traveler 8.5 supports “lookup” function as you were using Blackberry. i have just tested the traveler 8.5 but by doing the lookup none of the lookup works. Ive red in ibm lotus traveler forum, the lookup is only supported by iPhone on 8.5.1. i dont know which statement is correct.

or i did configured my traveler wrongly? pls comment. Thanks..

The “Name Lookup” isn´t part from Lotus Traveler 8.5 … it is planed to add it in a later release.

@Nick: Yes it is push technology. Traveler runs as a server task on Domino 8.0.1 on Windows,but this does not necessarily means that your mailfiles must be stored on this server. Traveler can access a linux server as well but the task itself is Windows only. Perhaps this will change in the future.
With Traveler 8 your device has to be a Windows Mobile 5 or 6 device, but Traveler 8.5 will support Nokia devices as well. See this post for further information http://www.eknori.de/2008-11-20/do-you-own-one-of-these-devices/

Why is it difficult to find any info about this product. “note traveller”….

It basicaly has very little information and then you click on Technical resources and it takes you to a page with very little information.

What about support for encryption?

Yes it supports it by adding your Notes.id to your mail file. So far I like what I see in the Travler and its Symbian Client.

The URL to IBM Lotus Notes Traveler 8.5 says S50 3rd edition Nokia Symbian and it really should say Nokia S60 3rd edition. Has anyone tried it yet ? If so can you put in a link?
