Dell Inspiron 9400 max. RAM ?
March 8, 2009 – 12:01 pmI have a Dell Inspiron 9400 which I use at home. It has 2GB of RAM and I decided to upgrade the RAM. I found a 2x2GB = 4GB memory kit at EBAY for a fair price.
I recalled that the Inspiron 9400 has a maximum of 2GB of installabe RAM. So I was a little bit unsure if I really should buy the kit. I searched the internet and as always I got some hints that the Laptop would not support 4GB. But there were also search results saying that 4GB are no problem at all. It depends …
One post said that you could use Sisoftware Sandra Light to determine the max. installable Ram for a PC or Laptop.
So I decided to download the software, which is available for free and give it a try. Here ist the result.
The next step was to order the memory kit …
