OpenNTF – DominoDefrag
April 13, 2009 – 10:07 amAndrew Luder has released an initial version of DominoDefrag on OpenNTF. DominoDefrag is a server addin task to defrag .nsf files. It uses Contig 1.55, a free Windows Sysinternals tool.
Andrew has tested his tool on Domino release 5 to 8.x on Windows 2003. I’ve tested with Domino 8.5 on Windows 2008 Standard.

I’ve been thinking about giving this a try. Our SAN team doesn’t believe in defragging a SAN. What results are you seeing in terms of performance gains?

Uh, tell your SAN team, defragging is every bit as important on a SAN.

Any chance you’ve got a compile of this for 64-bit Domino?

DominoDefrag 1.5 contains both 32Bit and 64Bit. http://openntf.org/Projects/pmt.nsf/HomeLookup/59845ACE39BF1B62862575F0004C143E?OpenDocument
