After upgrading a Domino® server to release 8.0x, you may notice that some Desktop Policy settings are unexpectedly being pushed out to the Notes® clients, despite not being configured to do so.
IBM has released two new PUBNAMES.NTF templates to fix the desktop policy.

I put “Create_R8_Databases” into my notes.ini on the client and tried to create a new blank database. BANG!!

The database is not created. When you assign a template during the creation process, the error does not occur.
The error has already been reported under SPR# TDAS7BEHEJ.

Although the Form property “Merge Replication Conflicts” is enabled, and the Form contains a $ConflictAction field, a replication conflict occurs when modifications are made to different fields in a database.
1. Create a Form that contains two fields.

Notes 7.0.3 – Problem With German Umlauts

I’ve recently downloaded “IBM Lotus Notes Client 7.0.3 for Windows 2000, XP and Vista German (C180SDE)” from passport advantage. After upgrading my 7.0.2 de client to the 7.0.3 the views in the IBM standard templates do no longer display multi value entries as expexted.
