Is it possible to translate hexadecimal error codes in Notes/Domino?

Hexadecimal error codes can appear in Lotus® Notes/Domino® log files and debug output files. Is it possible to translate these codes to discover their meaning?

Yes. New to Domino 7 is the ability to translate hexadecimal error codes directly from the server console. To do this, type “show message ” from the server console. Note: Omit the leading 0x for the error code.

For example:
show message 1A5

translates as…
“The NOTES.INI file cannot be found on the search path “.
