Final Entry

Today feels like the right moment for a final post.

At the beginning of 2026, I officially retired after many years in the IT world — years filled with projects, challenges, friendships, conferences, late-night problem solving, and continuous learning. Looking back, it has been an incredible journey.

And somehow, it feels especially fitting that today I also received an award from OpenNTF.org. Here is a photo of it, because it represents much more than a simple recognition. To me, it reflects the community, collaboration, and shared passion that accompanied me throughout so many years.

This blogroll started as a place to collect ideas, links, discoveries, and thoughts worth sharing. Over time, it became a small archive of my professional life and personal interests — a timeline of technologies, events, experiments, and conversations.

I would also like to express my sincere gratitude to all the companies and employers I had the privilege to work with over the years. They gave me opportunities that shaped both my professional and personal life: attending conferences across Germany and around the world, participating in trainings and continuing education, meeting inspiring people, and constantly learning new things. None of that can be taken for granted, and I remain deeply thankful for those experiences.

Technology changes quickly. Platforms come and go. Communities evolve. But what remains are the people, the shared knowledge, and the memories created along the way.

To everyone who followed this blog, exchanged ideas with me, worked with me, met me at conferences, or simply stopped by from time to time: thank you. Your time, support, and conversations meant more than statistics or page views ever could.

This is not really a goodbye to technology or curiosity. I am sure both will continue to be part of my life. But it is the closing chapter of this particular space.

One last entry.
One last scroll.
Thank you for being part of the journey.
